Dear CincyAI Community Member — 

Happy Halloween! Next Tuesday is not only election day but also our November meeting. There are a few spots open, so RSVP today! Also, please take this as our encouragement for you to vote, and if you can, vote early.

On Tuesday, you’ll get the chance to see a demo of a “robotic dog”! The Digital Futures Co-Director of Applied Autonomy Lab, Bryan Kowalczyk, will join us for a demo. (This photo is from Carlos Martin who did October’s tour, so thank you, Carlos.)

Don’t forget that the first 15 people who sign up can get a tour of UC’s Digital Futures! This was a hit in October, and there will be one more ahead of our December meeting. These are on a first-come, first-served basis and are an excellent opportunity to learn about all of the amazing labs and research that’s taking place in the building. Each tour will start at 2:30pm.

Our meetups are 3-5pm in room 140 at the UC Digital Futures building located at 3080 Exploration Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45206.

One big announcement we’re excited to share is that we’re proud to partner with the Adobe-led Content Authenticity Initiative for our December meetup! 🥳

During our QuickBytes, there will be special programming that includes:

👉The Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI), how the community is working to restore trust and transparency in the age of generative AI, and ways to get involved. 

👉How legislators around the world are crafting state and federal policies to help mitigate the harms of AI and to include provenance or disclosure in generative AI products.

👉Content Credentials, like a digital nutrition label for content, enabling anyone to understand the provenance or history of content. Learn why it’s important, how the standard is rolling out across the Internet, and see a demo on how to add your attribution, set your AI training preferences, and more.
