Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones! Given the holiday, you’re receiving an extra reminder for tomorrow’s meetup — and it’s a special one as we’re partnering with the Adobe-led Content Authenticity Initiative for some special programming (more on this below!). 🎉

👉 The CAI and how the community is working to restore trust and transparency in the age of generative AI, and ways to get involved.

👉 Content Credentials, like a digital nutrition label for content, enabling anyone to understand the provenance or history of content. Learn why it’s important, how the standard is rolling out across the Internet, and see a demo on how to add your attribution, set your AI training preferences, and more.

👉 How legislators are crafting state and federal policies to help mitigate the harms of AI and to include provenance or disclosure in generative AI products.

👉 How CAI member Pixelstream integrates Content Credentials in a mobile camera, editing tools, and services for creators and consumers.

From Dr. Kelly Cohen: I am happy to announce that Digital Technology Solutions will be hosting an AI and Emerging Technology Symposium on February 20, 2025. UC Vice President and Chief Digital Officer Bharath Prabhakaran invites current UC students, faculty, and staff to share their knowledge and perspective as part of the Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) AI and Emerging Technology Symposium, Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, in TUC. Submit your breakout session presentation proposal form by Friday, Nov. 8. DTS will notify selected presenters by Monday, Nov. 25.
